Today, the leaves are used as an herb in many culinary dishes, giving roasted meats, vegetables, and even apples a delicious flavor. In medicinal use, Oil of Thyme, the essential oil of common Thyme, has many common antiseptic uses.
During early to mid-summer, small flowers grow in clusters around the tips of the branches, enchanting the herb with the lovely scent of a new beginning.
